The Witcher 3 Patch 1.12 Detailed, Includes UI Improvements and Fixes

January 11, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Witcher 3 is getting an all new update ahead of Blood and Wine.

The Witcher 3 was last year's biggest game, and its developers at CD Projekt Red continue to update it with new content, bug fixes, and have a story DLC planned for release soon. The game's last patch was released in October.

The studio has announced the release of a new patch that brings the game up to version 1.12, to come out ahead of the Blood and Wine expansion pack. The update fixes bugs in the main game as well as the first expansion, Hearts of Stone.

Included in the patch are enhancements and fixes to the user interface. Notably, the patch fixes an exploit where runes and glyphs could be upgraded infinitely. The UI now also allows players to track objectives across different game regions. Ingredients for pinned formulas are also highlighted in shop screens, so players will no longer have to examine each and every item in store inventories. Finally, players can drag and drop weapon and armor repair kits onto gear to quickly repair them.

In addition to fixes to numerous quests in both the core game and the expansion, the new patch also fixes some issues with the living world. The biggest fix is that monster nests will no longer respawn once destroyed.

For the rest of the fixes, be sure to read the PDF file CD Projekt Red released.
