NexusMods user ParKan has created a mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that allows you to play as one of the female characters. As spotted by Polygon, the mod lets players inhabit either Triss, Yennefer, Shani, or Ciri. Unfortunately, the character will still have Geralt’s animations in movement and combat.
ParKan also designed a mod that allows for permanent companions in the game. A Reddit thread shows off these companions aiding in combat. You can check both mods out in the video below.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched earlier this year to critical acclaim, and has won several Game of the Year honors, including at The Game Awards earlier this month. CD Projekt Red has released one expansion earlier this year, titled Hearts of Stone, with another, Blood and Wine, arriving in the first half of 2016.
The studio has also said that they are moving on to focus primarily on development of Cyberpunk 2077, which they announced a couple years ago.
