I wrote about it being a crazy possibility early this year, but finally, Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada has dropped a hint that Tekken 7: Fated Retribution may be coming to PC.
I'm reading your request already!! RT @fox_watp What can fans do if they want PC release of Tekken 7 FR?

Harada has tweeted at length about bringing Tekken to PC before. He explained why the game has never appeared on PC until now, and also cleared the air by pointing out he’s also an older Steam user.
As I surmised before, Tekken’s switch to Unreal Engine also meant a switch away from PlayStation Native development. This meant it would be easier to port Tekken to platforms outside of PlayStation.
Harada may have also learned from his studio’s experience portingTekken Tag Tournament to Wii U. Studio 765 did something incredible when they earned parity between the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U ports, even though it was made in PlayStation Native. The port to Wii U, however, proved costly and depended on a lot of middleware, including the Havok engine and Scaleform.
This time, with Tekken 7 using the very flexible Unreal Engine, it’s not impossible to bring the game beyond PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This could mean anything Windows, SteamOS, maybe even OS X, high end mobile tablets, and the NX down the line. Of course, since the PS4 version will use PS VR, Oculus Rift and the Vive is not out of bounds either. Imagine the most ported and widely available Tekken game ever.
Here and now, however, would you buy Tekken 7 on PC if it was available there? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
