Nintendo has a lot to celebrate in Japan, as Splatoon has sold over 1 million units in Japan. And so they will with a pending Squid Sisters Live concert.
And Nintendo means units sold, going out of their way to confirm these units sold did not represent units shipped. No idea yet how this adds up to global sales, but Nintendo will eventually reveal results in the next quarterly investors report.
For now, Japanese fans can look forward to Squid Sisters Live, a live concert event happening at Game Party Japan. This also happens to be the venue for the Japanese Splatoon eSports event this coming 2016.
