Destiny Now Has Class Boosters To Level 25

December 15, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Not everyone likes, them but they do serve a purpose that benefits the players, not just Bungie.

Class boosters are now available for purchase for Destiny.

As this screenshot shows, new class boosters are available to bring hunters, titans, and warlocks alike up to level 25. Each pack is worth 24.99 British pounds, roughly $ 37.87.

Class boosters are always a contentious addition for games like Destiny. Of course, these boosters take the work out of leveling up multiple levels, which can take hours of play. While some players think this puts those willing to pay at a serious advantage, and of course will line up Bungie's pockets, this isn’t the whole story.

These kinds of games depend on having friends play online together. As is often the case, these players don’t level up the same time together. One friend may be jumping in late. It’s also common that friends progressively jump in at different points.

In other words, friends come in with huge discrepancies in levels, and this puts higher level players at a disadvantage. Class boosters actually work out to benefit those players, since it means they can still play with their friends and keep reasonable progress.

Of course, not everyone has this problem, and even players who would benefit would still dislike this option. How do you feel about class boosters in Destiny? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
