Bungie’s Weekly Destiny Update Promises Changes In 2016

December 10, 2015 by Olga Lexell

The update is live, but what’s next?

The Destiny December Update is here, and there are changes aplenty. But what does Bungie plan to beyond the Sparrow Racing League?

Hey. 2016 is gonna be great. We're working on stuff. Fun stuff, that's still in development. SRL is live today, though! We hope you dig it!

— Eric Osborne (@UrkMcGurk) December 8, 2015

“There’s a whiteboard in one of our meeting rooms filled with scribblings and sticky notes that represent the developments planned for Destiny’s not-so-distant future,” writes Bungie’s Eric Osborne. The first new Destiny addition will be similar to the Festival of the Lost event, he hints.  After that, there will be something “far larger than anything you’ve seen since the release of The Taken King.” Within that time frame, there will be another major update.

Per fan demand, in 2016 content drops will occur much faster. Osborne promises that these new updates are scheduled for winter and spring 2016; and there’s still more to follow.
