Xbox One’s Backwards Compatible Library Will Grow Monthly

December 4, 2015 by Stephen Daly

December’s additions will be announced soon.

When Microsoft rolled out Xbox 360 backwards compatibility last month, over 100 games were available but the company has plans to extend the program monthly.

Mike Ybarra, partner diredctor of program management, said on Twitter that the number of games included in the Xbox One's backwards compatibility library will grow every month.

Many of the games already playable are XBLA titles but we may see bigger games launched for the program in future. According to Ybarra, we'll know what to expect from this month's update before long.

Goal for Xbox One backward compatibility with 360 titles is to release titles on a monthly cadence. You’ll hear about December soon. #Xbox
