Star Wars: Battlefront’s Speeders Were Made by Burnout Developer Criterion

November 27, 2015 by Stephen Daly

And Visceral Games was involved too.

Burnout and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit developer Criterion Games helped develop the speeders in DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront.

Which development team could possibly have the expertise to put such speed into the Battlefront speeder bikes..? 😉 https://t.co/biWJ57tIVo

The tweet followed the release of a Digital Foundry video comparing speeder bike footage from the game and Return of the Jedi which are difficult to tell apart.

Criterion Games appears in the list of game credits, though their involvement with the game was not announced prior to release. Battlefield Hardline developer Visceral Games is also mentioned in the credits.
