Deceive Inc. Gameplay is Full of Spy vs. Spy Action

June 15, 2022 by Brandon Lyttle

I’m putting together a crew of just me.

A new trailer has been released for Deceive Inc., an upcoming competitive game where players compete with one another to complete a mission and reap some rewards.

Deceive Inc. feels like an original concept, borrowing mechanics from games like the Guess Who mode in Garry’s Mod and a little bit of PAYDAY 2. Players won’t know who’s watching them or who’s ahead of them in this competitive heist simulator.

With a tool of campy spy gadgets at their disposal, players can disguise themselves as NPCs, fooling other players and gaining access to restricted areas. Players can also use their gadgets forensically, finding places other players have passed by recently or using drones to spy on suspicious NPCs. There are plenty of creative ways to play, as long as you get the bag at the end.

Check out the gameplay trailer here.

Go undercover as the world’s greatest spies in DECEIVE INC., a tense multiplayer game of subterfuge, deduction, and ingenuity set in the groovy world of international espionage. Disguise as anyone, deploy an arsenal of high-tech gadgets or neutralize the competition. As long as you extract with the objective, no trick is too dirty when you work for DECEIVE INC.

Deceive Inc. seems to sidestep one of the hardest parts of social deduction games: the actual socialization. With every player a competitor, players will still be looking for suspicious activity while also tricking other players, but there’s no futile plea on the stand like in Town of Salem or Among Us. There’s just you, a gun, and your gut instinct and suspicions.

Deceive Inc. is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS5 next year.
