Life is Strange to Have a Limited Edition Physical Release

November 12, 2015 by Stephen Daly

It’ll be out in January.

Square Enix has announced that Dontnod Entertainment's Life is Strange will have a boxed Limited Edition release on January 19th 2016 in North America, it will be released three days later on January 22nd in Europe.

“The response to Life is Strange really has blown us away,” Dontnod producer Luc Baghadoust commented, “to be able to share that experience with our fans in a traditional boxed format is something we’re really excited about and the decision to include the extra items for the Limited Edition is a direct response to fan requests.”

Apart from the game, the physical release also features a directors' commentary, physical 32-page art book, and 22 songs from the game's soundtrack. Eight of those are original works created by composer Jonathan Morali.

Life is Strange follows the story of photography student Max Caulfield when she discovers the ability to rewind time and uses it to save the life of her friend Chloe Price, who is investigating the disappearance of Rachel Amber, a former student at Max's school. The game was originally released as a digital episodic adventure split across five episodes earlier this year.

The limited edition is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
