Resident Evil Village Getting a Third-Person Mode

June 13, 2022 by Todd Black

A whole new way to view the deadly village.

Resident Evil Village shocked longtime fans of the series with its very first trailer–largely due to the 9-foot tall vampire lady that has become an internet obsession ever since. The feel of Village helped recapture the horror essence of the series and wasted no time in entrancing those who played it. With some time passing since the game’s release, are you ready to dive back in with a whole new view?

The Winters Expansion for Resident Evil Village will feature plenty of changes, not the least of which is a DLC pack called Shadows of Rose that’ll feature the daughter of Ethan Winters 16 years after the events of Village. The title will also give players the ability to switch to a 3rd-person perspective. Looking through the eyes of Ethan Winters will certainly bring a new feel–and new terror–to the record-breaking title.

This will open up the world in terms of perspective and allow players to be more aware of what’s all around them instead of being locked to a limited vision range.

As if that’s not enough, the Mercenaries mode of the game will be getting some additions as well with multiple new characters being brought in. You can see who in the trailer above.

The Winters Expansion will arrive this October.
