Alien Isolation Mod Gets Rid of the Alien

November 9, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Sevastopol still has its threats but it’s far less scary now.

For those of you who have always wanted to play Alien Isolation but were reluctant to take on the actual alien, we have some good news in the form of a new mod that removes the threat from the Creative Assembly's game.

While it's perfectly reasonable to argue that doing so nullifies the entire purpose of the game, it does give players the opportunity to wander around Sevastopol admiring the retro art design without needing to worry about anything. If that sounds like something you're interested in just imagine how relieved Amanda Ripley feels.

Technically, the alien is still in the game, with Modder [Lebowski]-=ThArK=- trapping it permanently in a vent.

There are other threats in the game, including other humans, androids, and the odd facehugger but it's considerably less challenging now.

You can download the mod here.

The Creative Assembly's next game will be Total War: Warhammer, while the Alien Isolation team is working on Halo Wars 2, both are due for release in 2016.
