Square Enix sadly dispelled earlier rumors of a Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer dropping this week.
We know that a trailer was actually made, because news came out that it was screened at the D23 Expo Japan Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater event. It seemed reasonable to expect that the said trailer would be made public shortly after, but clearly, that’s not what happened.
Their community manager shared this message on the Final Fantasy XIV forums:
Come on guys you should know better than to trust news reports that don't even have any sources!
We never announced that any trailer would be released and in general you should be more cautious about rumours. We also sort of did release an official statement/message.
And he is alluding to this tweet:
We want to thank you for all your support and will let you know when we have more to share! pic.twitter.com/BgmDadprso

As we covered earlier, the trailer did preview a new Attraction Flow, based on a real life Buzz Lightyear ride. While the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account shared a pic of the Attraction Flow, they didn’t really explain this.
At this point, it seems more like Square Enix did not properly plan out the rollout of new information. Hardcore fans who were willing to share and translate made any attempt to delay revealing this information moot and academic.
In any case, we are looking forward to when Disney and Square Enix agree to reveal this information. What would you like them to reveal next? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
ingdom Hearts 3 is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
