New StarCraft 2: Legacy Of The Void Trailer

November 6, 2015 by Olga Lexell

And it comes with some exciting DLC news.

President and CEO of Blizzard Mike Morhaime unveiled the new StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void trailer at BlizzCon in his opening ceremony remarks. Much of the opening consisted of a behind-the-scenes, documentary-style featurette on the history and development of StarCraft, a historic game for Blizzard.

The new cinematic follows Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis. As previously reported, this expansion will conclude StarCraft’s story arc. "StarCraft will live on as a universe,” said Blizzard earlier this year. “We hope to explore some other aspects of the universe, but the storyline that was setup in StarCraft I and continued in StarCraft II will resolve in Legacy of the Void. All of those main characters will reach a nice satisfying conclusion."

Blizzard also announced new DLC mission packs for StarCraft 2, coming Spring 2016. One of them will focus on Terran Ghost Nova.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void hits shelves for PC on November 10. There will be a Collector’s Edition released on the same day that retails for $80. The regular version of the game costs $40, but doesn’t include nifty collectibles like the game’s soundtrack and a 174-page field manual that functions as an art book.
