Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Will Be 30 FPS, But Only On Consoles

November 3, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

the PC version, which happens to be under development by Nixxes, and not Eidos.

Square Enix Executive Game Producer Jean-Francois Dugas confirmed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s framerate for consoles.

Yes, 30. https://t.co/FEQeA7t0UY

No no and no. 30fps is consoles. We all breathe, thanks. https://t.co/uUqFQMOqkW

It will definitely be locked at 30 FPS. However, follow up tweets make it clear that there won’t be such a lock for the PC version, which happens to be under development by Nixxes, and not Eidos.

Of course, many PC gamers are relieved by this announcement, but this may be an indication running the game at 30 FPS may prove impractical for all but the most high end gaming rigs. Will you pass over the consoles to get this on PC, or are you sticking with your platform of choice? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided  will be released on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 23rd, 2016.
