Over-the-top dual weilding served its purpose well in the original Darkness, but the tentacles of darkness always felt lacking a little bit due to their lack of participation in the action. The Darkness II rectifies that by giving players the option to "Quad Weild" with style by allowing lead character "Jackie Estacado" to use his supernatural powers while at the same time dual weild weapons.
In Darkness II, the new Don of the Franchetti crime family, Jackie Estacado, is still lamenting over his girlfriend's death and an unprovoked attack on Jackie leads to a full-scale mob war and confrontation with Victor Valante, head of "The Brotherhood" a secret order who were created for the sole purpose of controlling "The Darkness."
The Darkness II is currently scheduled to release early February in 2012 and is being developed for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
