Blacksmiths Recreate Jacob’s Cane Sword From Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

October 19, 2015 by Olga Lexell

The Stagmer Brothers of Baltimore Knife and Sword commemorate the game’s impending release.

To take your mind off of counting down the days until the release of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, check out this episode of Man at Arms: Reforged in which Baltimore Knife and Sword recreates Jacob's Cane Sword.

The blacksmiths use genuine antique 19th century cable damascus for the sheath, a walrus tusk that's been aged thousands of years, machining wax, and bronze to assemble the replica. The team moves like clockwork as each member handles a different part of the weapon and it's quite satisfying to see each piece fit together perfectly at the end.

Even if you're not a fan of swords or Assassin's Creed, the process is mesmerizing to watch and the episode is only about ten minutes long. Plus, the creators are giving the sword away in a sweepstakes.

And if you already have a sword, don't forget to pair it with a dapper hat for the perfect Assassin's Creed Halloween costume.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate arrives on October 23.
