Batman: Arkham City Gets Classy New Screenshots

Rocksteady has released a new series of pictures for their upcoming game starring the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Arkham City (as opposed to the normally less chaotic Gotham City) seems to be populated by a host of freaks hell-bent on killing the Batman as they wreak havoc throughout the urban environment, outside of their usual confines in Arkham Asylum.

The Batman punches faces and leaves a lot of—presumably unconscious—bodies in his wake as he makes his way over to the Joker and the other boss characters pulling the strings.

The new series of images gives us a chance to look at Batman doing something aside from beating people's faces, as he swoops in from the skies and poses heroically for those picture perfect moments

Batman: Arkham City is set for release on the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 on October 18, 2011. It will be released on the PC a month later due to some inexplicable delay that's going to leave PC gamers ranting for awhile yet.
