Treyarch Says Matchmaking Will Be Based on Quality Rather Than Player Skill

Oct 16, 2015 Olga Lexell

Additionally, the company revealed a new program that gives in-game rewards to veteran players who have ranked up in previous games.

Today's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Livestream revealed key information about the upcoming game, which will be released on November 6th. One of the new developments is an in-game loyalty program.

Players will need to connect their Call of Duty account to their platform (the program will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC) by November 6th in order to receive rewards for levels reached in Black Ops 2, Ghosts, or Advanced Warfare.

Treyarch also revealed that there will be a new mode in BO3 called Free Run, which will allow the player to make their way through different obstacle courses — it will even allow you to use parkour.

Dan Bunting, Treyarch Director, briefly commented on matchmaking during the livestream and promised that BO3 would have an improved system that prioritizes network quality.

Treyarch will continue hosting BO3 livestreams every Friday until October 30th.
