Sims 4 Expansion ‘Get Together’ To Launch December 8

October 7, 2015 by Holly Green

Citing a need for more time to polish the content pack, EA moves the release date back by one month.

Today EA has released new details about the upcoming second expansion for The Sims 4, Get Together. Originally expected in November of this year, the expansion is now set to debut in December. Citing the need to polish and improve the content, EA has announced this new date as December 8, 2015 in North America, with a staggered release world wide the rest of the week. Among the new items included are a board game called 'Don't Wake The Llama!' and a diving rock for Sims to jump off in the Natural Pool. The Clubs and their associated social groups are also undergoing more development, with special attention paid to personalized "signature spots" for each. A spiritual successor to past Sims expansions like The Sims 3's Late Night, other hot spots like pubs and coffee shops will be included, and even a private island.

The first expansion for The Sims 4, Get To Work, debuted this past March and added three new careers to the game, Doctor, Detective and Scientist. A fourth content pack, Spooky Stuff, was released at the end of last month to gear up for the Halloween season. A third expansion has not yet been announced.
