Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set to be one of the biggest titles being released for the Nintendo Switch this year. The game went into development shortly after Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country went gold back in 2018. Now that it’s almost done, will fans be able to play the beloved Japanese RPG at any point this year? Well, when the release date was originally announced in February 2022, we were expected to receive the game later in the year around September, though no official date was given.
Since then, the date has changed and fans are excited about this new announcement. So, will we be getting Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this year after all?
Is Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Coming Out This Year?
The answer is: YES! When the new release date was announced for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it was revealed to actually be for an earlier date! Now, fans will be able to enjoy the third installment of the critically-acclaimed series on July 29, 2022. Unlike the previous two games, the third installment will take place in the world of Aionios where players will take on the role of two different protagonists: Noah, an off-seer who is accompanied by his childhood friends Lanz and Eunie; and Mio, a woman from Agnus accompanied by fellow soldiers Taion and Sena.
Like everyone else, we’re excited about this revelation and can’t wait to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this coming summer on the Nintendo Switch.
