Konami has shared some new screens and gameplay video for Metal Gear Online: Tactical Team Operations.
The screens show off plans to give the game a flippant tone. Quiet is shown wearing a gigantic fish and squid as hats (perhaps more than a passing reference to another nautical shooter), and another male soldier wears the classic crocodile head hat.
If you are looking for something more substantial, never fear. Konami also uploaded an English language gameplay video, with eleven minutes of gameplay. We’ll run down some highlights below.
The Phantom Pain players will feel right at home, as Metal Gear Online: Tactical Team Operations will use exactly the same control scheme. The character creator is deep, reflecting the attention to detail it took to bring actors like Kiefer Sutherland and Stefanie Joosten over from real life to digital life.
There are several classes reflecting some of the gameplay styles you may have used in The Phantom Pain. Inflitrators are suited for stealth players. Scouts are good in combat and support, intel and sniping. Finally, enforcers are the tanks, with high stamina and versatile weapon specialties.
You can learn more from the gameplay video above.
Metal Gear Online: Tactical Team Operations will be released on October 6 free for everyone who has Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain.
