Obsidian Dev Talks Fallout 4, Pillars of Eternity Expansion In PAX Interview

September 3, 2015 by Ian Boudreau

There’s video of Obsidian lead designer Josh Sawyer talking with PC Gamer about upcoming content for Pillars of Eternity, and about his history with Fallout

Our own Stephen Daly has already reported on Obsidian Lead Designer Josh Sawyer's revelation that there was a drunken romance storyline cut from Fallout: New Vegas. Now you can watch the full video interview with PC Gamer's Evan Lahti at PAX Prime this past weekend.

Sawyer talks about the upcoming expansion for Obsidian's Pillars of Eternity, about how Fallout 4 should reflect Bethesda's gigantic and prolific modding community, and about the trashy, drunken love story they wound up cutting out of New Vegas.

And that wouldn't even have been the first romance story in the Fallout canon, he said.

"You could sort of say that Fallout 2 had romance, but… not in the same way," Sawyer said.

Long-time Fallout fans will know what he means.
