Destiny: The Taken King’s Court of Oryx to be Revealed Tomorrow

September 1, 2015 by Stephen Daly

It’s NOT like the Prison of Elders.

Bungie has announced it will reveal the Court of Oryx from Destiny's upcoming expansion The Taken King tomorrow on its Twitch channel.

Court of Oryx is a new end-game mode which is in initiated in Patrol mode on the Dreadnaught, the battleship home of Hive god Oryx, located on the Rings of Saturn.

Bungie community manager David “Deej” Dague told IGN:

“The Court of Oryx is a player-instigated public event that pits you against different combinations of different bosses in different scenarios.”

While it sounds a lot like Prison of Elders, creative director Luke Smith says that isn't the case:

Court of Oryx is NOT like Prison of Elders. It is a public gameplay experience built into Dreadnaught where players summon bosses together

The Dreadnaught is also home to the game's biggest raid, King's Fall, which will be available soon after The Taken King launches and new strikes.

Destiny: The Taken King launches on September 15th for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. You can check out the launch trailer here.
