First Teaser Video for Boss Key Production’s Project Bluestreak

August 24, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Marking the first of three reveals this week.

The first teaser video for Boss Key Production’s first game, codenamed Project Bluestreak, was revealed today via a teaser site the company launched yesterday, Sunday, Aug. 23.

The video, titled “After The Shattering…” and running at just 30 seconds, shows what appears to be a dilapidated city in ruins with air raid-like sirens and rumblings of a thunderstorm sounding off in the background. You can watch it below:

As shown on the teaser site, this marks the first of three reveals Boss Key intends to roll out this week. The next one will go live tomorrow, Aug. 25 at 12 p.m. ET and the third and final reveal will go live at 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Boss Key Productions is a development studio co-founded by former Gears of War lead designer Cliff Bleszinski last year. Their first game, Project Bluestreak, was revealed shortly thereafter.

After serving as the lead designer on Gears of War 1-3 at Epic Games, Bleszinski departed the studio in 2012, saying, at the time, he was retiring from game development. Less than two years later, Bleszinski announced Boss Key Productions, a new studio he had co-founded with former Guerrilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee.

Project Bluestreak has been described by the developer as a free-to-play arena-style shooter, in the vein of Unreal Tournament, another game Bleszinski worked on at Epic Games. Boss Key released some pre-alpha footage for the game in March of this year.
