Nintendo drops Wii price to $199

Nintendo has confirmed the much rumored price drop to the Wii. Currently retailing at $249.99, the Wii will now have an MSRP of $199.99 starting Sunday, September 27th. The bundled items are set to remain the same, Wii Remote, Wii Nunchuck, and Wii Sports.

Rumors and speculation about an impending Wii price cut have been doing the rounds over the internet in the past few weeks, the price drop comes as no surprise from the Japanese console maker, with recent price cuts to it's rival consoles from Sony and Microsoft, the news confirmed on their website was imminent.
