2K Games and Firaxis have released a new trailer for the upcoming turn-based strategy game XCOM 2. Destined for release on the PC, the upcoming game takes place in an alternate reality aftermath of the first game, with the aliens victorious over the human race.
With most of the human population subjugated by the alien invaders, the remnants of the XCOM organization must band together to fight a secret war against the aliens.
Enabling the secret war is the Avenger, the XCOM base of operations and mobile headquarters. The Avenger serves as the strategic layer of the game, allowing players to manage their research and manage resources, recruit and customize soldiers, upgrade weapons, armor and abilities, and ultimately build a global resistance network to combat the alien occupation.
