A Darth Vader-inspired PlayStation 4 system and DualShock 4 controller will be released by Sony this year to accompany the launches of Star Wars Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0.
The specially themed console and controller were revealed by Sony's Adam Boyes onstage at Disney's D23 Expo event today.
A Vader-themed console and DualShock 4 will be bundled with Star Wars Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0 on November 17th, the same day as Battlefront launches. Disney Infinity 3.0 launches on August 28th.
The Bundle comes with the Deluxe Edition of DICE's shooter and a code to download four Star Wars games: Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter. These games are to be released on PS4 with enhanced graphics and PlayStation Trophy support.
The Vader PS4 bundle with Disney Infinitey 3.0 is a Wal-Mart exclusive, the PlayStation Blog notes though the European version doesn't provide retailer details. It will come with the game's Star Wars Edition Exclusive Hardware Bundle Kit featuring a base station and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia and Boba Fett figures. A code for the four Star Wars games will also be included.
