If you're a fan of, well, just about any Unreal 3 game, the thought of making something in that pretty engine might have popped into your mind at some point. Unreal 3 is the technology responsible for the Mass Effect and Bioshock franchises, both Batman: Arkham games, Enslaved, Deus Ex: HR, Gears of War, etc. Hundreds of games, all of them developed on powerful PCs running the Unreal 3 SDK. Until today, Mac users were denied the privilege of enduring the UDK's frustrating interface, but now, all of that changes!
Soon, Epic will be releasing the Unreal 3 SDK for OS X, and just like on the PC, it will be totally free to use.
