The Elder Scrolls Online DLC ‘Imperial City’ Details Revealed

August 13, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Here’s what you need to know about the Imperial City.

Bethesda has put out a host of details for its upcoming DLC expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online. Dubbed the Imperial City, the DLC is set to add a ton of new content to the game, which was released earlier this year on the PS4 and Xbox One.

The content is set for release on August 31 for the PC, followed by September 15 and 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The full DLC is included with an active Elder Scrolls Online Plus membership, and can be bought through the Tamriel Unlimited Crown Store for 2,500 coins, or $25.

Picking up the pack will grant you entry to the new Imperial City zone, which offers a new player-versus-player and player-versus-environment space. Much like in Oblivion, it's made up of six districts.

Other content includes the Xivkyn racial motif style for armor, new pets, polymorphs, and some other goodies. Here's what it offers, in full:

Imperial City DLC Features & Content

  • All content is available to players that are level 10 and up
  • A brand new PvP/PvE space, including the six Imperial City Districts
  • New quests and key characters within the Imperial City

  • Two new PvE Imperial City group dungeons with Normal and Veteran versions: White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison

  • Treasure Vaults that contain new Veteran Rank 16 set jewelry and a chance for even rarer finds
  • Xivkyn racial motif style
  • New collectibles only available in Imperial City (pets, polymorphs, and a costume)

Imperial City Base-Game Patch

  • 15% decrease in the amount of XP it takes to gain a Veteran Rank
  • 100% more XP for all public dungeons
  • 50% more XP for all Veteran Rank quests
  • 20% more XP in Craglorn
  • Veteran Rank increased to 16
  • Racial Passive improvements
  • Mundus Stone buff improvements
  • Glass racial motif style
  • Improvements to existing item sets
  • The ability to hide mount visual upgrades

Bethesda will release more details about the DLC as its release approaches.
