Crackdown 3 Gets Its First Gameplay Trailer, Features Massive Destruction

August 4, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Crackdown 3 has its first gameplay trailer out today.

The first gameplay footage of Crackdown 3 was shown off for the first time ever at Gamescom 2015 today. The trailer promises completely destructible environments, relying on cloud computing technology 20 times more powerful than what the Xbox One alone can offer.

Based on the series that originally began in 2007, Crackdown was one of the first open-world titles to offer its players superhero powers—alongside Infamous, Saints Row and Prototype. The game was largely successful due to promotion alongside the Xbox 360 platform. A sequel was released a few years later, but it wasn't as well received as the original.

Thankfully, the failure of the sequel didn't equal the death of the series and a third game is being made. It was first announced at E3 last year with an animated trailer and a promise that the game would use cloud-computing tech.

Today, you can watch a gameplay trailer of Crackdown 3. Check it out below.
