Street Fighter V Picks up Vega with a Whole New Look

August 3, 2015 by Stephen Daly

The Spanish ninja can now fight with or without claws.

Capcom has announced that longtime Street Fighter star Vega will be making a return in Street Fighter 5.

The Spanish ninja has been a series mainstay since his introduction in Street Fighter 2, Vega rose rapidly through the ranks of the Shadaloo criminal organisation after learning ninjutsu at an early age.

While retaining his legendary speed, Vega can now fight with or without claws. If you choose to sheathe his claws in battle, Vega can use new moves such as command grab and develop new attack properties which alter the way he approaches fights. His clawless abilities also open up new combo options.

You will need to learn to fight without claws as Vega, as he's no longer able to pick up his claw if it's knocked off.

There's more about Vega and the changes players can expect on the PlayStation Blog.

Street Fighter 5 is set to launch simultaneously worldwide exclusively on PC and PS4 in spring 2016.
