Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS Update Live, More Mii Costumes Confirmed

July 31, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

As usual, all older videos will no longer work with the new update, and you need to update to play online.

The latest update for Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS has finally gone live. We’ll run down the additional details below:

On top of King K. Rool (Mii Fighter) and Chrom, there are new Mii costumes for Flying Man from the Earthbound gamers (Mii Fighter), Bear (Mii Gunner), Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia, the Black Knight from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Mii Swordfighter), KK Slider from the Animal Crossing games, and a Samus set (Mii Gunner). Notably, Samus is wearing her default Varia Suit, but with the helmet off.

Youtube uploading and Tournament mode have also been confirmed, as well as all the requisite gameplay and stability updates. Apparently, the data for all four DLC characters (Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy, and Ryu) is also in the update.

As usual, all older videos will no longer work with the new update, and you need to update to play online. It is 3383 blocks on 3DS and 475 MB on Wii U. Check out a trailer for the new Mii costumes above.
