Minecraft Movie to be Directed by It’s Always Sunny’s Rob McElhenney

Rob McElhenney, co-creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and best known for his role as Mac in the show has just announced that he will be directing the Minecraft movie. Mojang revealed the news just now. 

Yes, there's a movie based on Minecraft, and Mac is going to be directing it. What? 

“Some of you may have seen this guy hanging around MINECON in London a couple weeks ago,” wrote Mojang's Vu Bui. “He’s Rob McElhenney, and he’s going to be directing the upcoming Minecraft movie.”

Well then. 

The most popular game on Earth, Minecraft, has just passed over 100 million users, and it'll grow even bigger should the movie be a success. What could go wrong?
