Asura's Wrath is a strange looking game which looks like God of War with Japanese deities in a post-human scifi setting. It's got a lumbering mechanical Buddha, a godlike protagonist, and a soundtrack reminiscent of Bastion–you know, all the aspects to make a truly imaginative game.
A newly released trailer from TGS is filled with gruff voices, raises questions, and shows off a host of mysterious characters. The trailer takes place from the point of view of Asura, who seeks vengeance and to save his daughter from the seven deities.
Capcom has clearly outdone itself with the stylishness of the trailer.
Asura's Wrath is set for a 2012 release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
