Zero Escape 3’s reveal has been full of surprises. Today, we have learned just the latest chapter in all this. Rising Star Games is no longer in talks to publish the title.
Of course, Rising Star published Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward for Europe, but publishing rights was always with Spike Chunsoft in Japan and Aksys Games in the US.
Rising Star did follow up by stating that they will be announcing games that they will be publishing in the near future, for PC, PlayStation 4, 3DS, and Vita.
Rising Star is known for taking some eclectic titles to release in Europe. Their unique library includes Hakuoki, Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Bit.Trip Complete, Deathsmiles, Half-Minute Hero, and the Harvest Moon games.
As for Zero Escape 3, is it possible that Aksys Games or Chunsoft will be publishing the game there themselves? It’s not entirely clear at this point
Zero Escape 3 will be released in 2016 for Vita and 3DS.
