July 11, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

2K Sports seems uninterested in the female wrestler, but they did promise 120 playable wrestlers.

WWE Superstar Eva Marie has revealed that she is shooting a video for WWE 2K16.

The star of Total Divas will apparently start a new run wrestling in NXT, after periodic appearances as a wrestler on Raw. Much of her wrestling storylines did not revolve around here as a solo performer, but as part of a storyline between AJ Lee and other WWE wrestlers feuding with the Total Divas wrestlers. So, she is not particularly known as a regular in-ring performer, but she has been a fixture in WWE programming for the last two years nonetheless.

With this in mind, it’s possible that Eva Marie will not be in the game as a playable character. This is also unlikely due to what seems to be 2K Sports’ disinterest in putting WWE’s female wrestler roster in equal standing as the male wrestler roster. Instead, she may have been cast for voice acting in the game, as an announcer or in storyline. She could also be recording commercials for the game, as Finn Balor has already done, and other superstars are likely to do in the coming weeks.

If you are a female wrestling fan, however, there is hope that she will be in the roster, since 2K Sports pledged to include 120 unique wrestlers for the game. However well she performs in the ring, you can always make her as good a wrestler as you’ve always wanted in the game.

Would you like Eva Marie to be playable in WWE 2K16? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

WWE 2K16 will be released on October 27, 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
