PlayStation Launches Web Series ‘Conversations with Creators’

July 7, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Stars Wil Wheaton as host.

PlayStation launched a new web series today called Conversations with Creators that is hosted by Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Guild).

In conjunction with Bungie Day, the first episode of Conversations with Creators is with some of the developers from Bungie. The first episode includes Bungie co-founder Jason Jones, design director Luke Smith, senior environment artist Jason Sussman, and technical art director Ryan Ellis. In a roundtable discussion format, Wheaton asks the developers questions about the development of Destiny both before launch and after, as well as what people can expect from the game going forward.

“I won’t even leave it to speculation,” Smith said in response to Wheaton asking if they would like to tease what’s to come in Destiny. “One of the areas that we will improve on this fall is the fantasy of, you know, ‘How do I get loot?’ We want you to get loot from the world. We want you to get powerful items from the world from killing monsters. We want the new destination you’re going to in The Taken King to be an inscrutable loot-filled fortress. We want it to be a place that you go, a new set of rituals with new activities to do. We want make you engaged with the world more to get the gear that you care about. I think that like, I mean, I’m not even going to hint at that, like we’re just going to deliver that.”

Destiny: The Taken King will be available September 15 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
