Skullgirls Developer’s New Project Is Indivisible, An Action RPG

It looks pretty promising, fingers crossed that they get the funding to pull this off.

 

Lab Zero Games, of Skullgirls fame, has just announced a new action RPG: Indivisible. Revealed at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, this project draws inspiration from the likes of Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid. Composer Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana) will be on board for this project.

Follow Ajna as she travels the world on a journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. Aiming to be a fresh spin on the action RPG genre, Indivisible’s rich storyline takes from Southeast Asian and world mythologies, with a dash of Lab Zero’s signature 2D hand-drawn animation. Ajna’s quest will have her meet unique heroes and discover new abilities in order to defeat any foes she encounters.

It appears that Lab Zero has thought ahead and already has a publisher lined up for Indivisible, a la Shenmue 3. They’ve indicated that they plan to go the crowdfunding route, and that an Indiegogo campaign will be set up soon, along with a playable demo.
