Star Wars Battlefront Alpha Files Reveal Weapons, Modes, More

July 2, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Play on Hoth or Tatooine in the PC alpha.

The closed alpha for Star Wars Battlefront on PC begins today and some people have combed through the associated files to learn what may be included.

User JumPeRJumPzZ on NeoGAF has put together a list of information gathered so far on things like weapons, vehicles, emotes, locations, and modes found in the alpha files.

According to the files, it is likely that the PC alpha will contain a multiplayer mode and a “Missions” mode. Selecting the multiplayer option will drop a player into a Walker Assault match, taking place on Hoth. The Missions mode, which is meant for single-player or co-op, will likely take place on Tatooine.

A list of guns found in the alpha files includes E11, A280, DH17, DL44, DLT19, DLT20a, SE14c, and T21. The vehicles found in in the files include T-65 X-wing, Tie Fighter, Lambda Shuttle, Y-wing, Corellian Corvette, Imperial Star Destroyer, Tie-Bomber, Nebulon B Frigate, Mon Calamari Capital Ship, Home One (Admiral Ackbar's Ship), ATST, AT-AT, Tie Interceptor, 74-Z Speeder Bike.

There were also several emotes found that range from situational combat emotes, telling your teammates you need aid, to more social ones like clapping.

It should be noted that anything appearing the alpha’s files do not indicate their presence in the alpha’s gameplay, or even the full game.

Invites for this closed PC alpha began to roll out last week with a deadline of June 29 for any would-be applicants. Star Wars Battlefront will launch on November 17 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
