Path of Exile: The Awakening Launches July 10

June 30, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

More dungeons to crawl and monsters to kill.

The third expansion for the free-to-play dungeon crawler Path of Exile will get a new expansion, The Awakening, on July 10, developer Grinding Gear Games announced today.

This will be the third expansion for Path of Exile, which was released in October, 2013. It includes new areas to explore, new monsters to kill, six new boss fights, five unannounced skills, 13 end-game maps, two challenge leagues, and a multi-stage encounter with a new end boss.

To whet your appetite, check out the new trailer for Path of Exile: The Awakening below:

In an effort to please a growing international audience, Path of Exile: The Awakening will launch simultaneously in Russia, Taiwan, and Singapore. Further localization in Europe and South America will come later this year.

Path of Exile: The Awakening comes two years after the game’s original release and is part of a ten-year plan that developer Grinding Gear Games has for its free-to-play dungeon crawler. The Awakening will be the game’s biggest content update to date.
