While PC players of the conclusion to Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy have been plagued by issues severe enough to warrant it being pulled from digital and retail stores, that hasn’t stopped two users from developing a PC mod that lets you play as 10 different characters other than Batman in free roam mode.
Installing this mod for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will allow players to play as Red Hood, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Robin, Azrael, Bruce Wayne, Catwoman, Commissioner Gordon, Joker and GCPD Officer Owens in the free roam mode of the game.
The video posted on the Batman Arkham YouTube channel (not an official channel of Warner Bros. or Rocksteady Studios) shows gameplay from the free roam mode of the game from the perspective of the aforementioned 10 characters. The video’s description includes instructions on how to properly install the mod and warns users to backup their save file prior to installation of the mod. Once the mod is installed, players can hit any of the F1-11 keys on their keyboard to switch between each of the characters, including Batman.
The first PC patch for Batman: Arkham Knight came two days ago and fixed things like bugs that caused the game to crash and a bug that disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion. While some players have taken things into their own hands to fix things like the 30 frames per second lock, Rocksteady has assured players that fixing the problems some PC players are facing is a top priority for the developer, despite also fixing some of the other issues on consoles, such as the PS4 leaderboards not working.
