A new trailer for space exploration simulator Interstellaria, announcing a release date of July 17 on Steam, has landed.
The trailer shows several clips of gameplay in Interstellaria while crosscutting between a news anchor’s reporting on “Trade Co.” the corporation that is urging people to join them in exploring space, even at the cost of their lives.
“Thousands of crews are being burned by substandard trade agreements and transportation contracts,” the news anchor says, while video is shown of crew members actually being struck by projectiles while fires are ignited in their spaceship.
The way in which players will manage not just one spaceship, but multiple spaceships, is through its crew. Ordering crew members around to put out fires or repair damaged equipment are some of the duties crew members will need to carry out. However, these crew members also have basic needs like eating and sleeping. Outfits and weapons can be equipped to crew members to customize each one.
There are no limits to how much of space you can explore and each world promises to offer unique experiences and rewards.
Developed by the one-person developer Coldrice, Interstellaria will be available on PC, Mac, and Linux for $9.99/£6.99/8,99€ through Steam on July 17, 2015.
