Planet Coaster: Simulation Evolved Is a Rollercoaster Tycoon Spiritual Successor From Frontier

June 16, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

The game is being billed as a spiritual successor to Rollercoaster Tycoon, made by fans.

Frontier Developments has revealed Planet Coaster: Simulation Evolved on today’s E3 PC Gaming Show.

The game is being billed as a spiritual successor to the Rollercoaster Tycoon series. Given how Atari has handled that franchise as of late, the reveal of a game made by the fans is certain to be welcome to its hardcore base.

The trailer is brief but is full of charm and warmth and humor. Planet Coaster: Simulation Evolved will be released next year, but it is up for preorder now at Frontier’s online store.
