No Man’s Sky Trailer Hints At Game’s Wider Scope

June 15, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

After a few minutes of flying, your ship travels light years away to another star system.

A new trailer for No Man’s Sky has been shared on the PlayStation E3 event, showing off the potential and scope of the game.

The trailer shows a good two minutes of flying across a planet, and then, surprisingly, a trip across the stars to a completely different star system many light years away. The trip ends with a landing and a brief look at the savannah and surrounding fauna.

If you were keen observers for this genre, you will know that what they reveal here is par for the course with their competitors in the massive space simulator genre, Elite Dangerous and the upcomingStar Citizen. What sets No Man’s Sky apart is the game’s colorful, low poly aesthetic, as well as the relative smaller scope of the team making it.

No Man’s Sky is in development for Windows and PlayStation 4.
