Super Smash Bros Super Leak: Ryu And Roy Details, Virtua Fighter And Tekken Mii Outfits, And More

June 13, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

These details were found after extensive data mining of a patch that went live too early

An incredible number of Super Smash Bros details have leaked, starting with something we learned two months ago: Ryu from the Street Fighter games and Roy from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade are the game’s latest upcoming playable characters.

These leaks are happening because an update for Super Smash Bros for 3DS was posted early. Fans have been diligently datamining the update, and essentially found enough material that would have comprised most, if not all, of tomorrow’s Smash-focused Nintendo Direct.

To start, as you see above, unlock videos were leaked for Ryu and Roy, confirming without a shadow of a doubt their appearances in the game. Ryu’s in-game model looks more like he did in Tatsunoko vs Capcom than his most recent appearances in Street Fighter 4 and 5.

These were all also confirmed from data mining:

Ryu, Roy, and Lucas’ B button moves. Note that one of Ryu’s moves is a Street Fighter 3 style parry.

We suspect Nintendo has more to announce regarding Super Smash Bros, but a big portion of their presentation may have already been revealed with all this.
