Fallout 4 Vs Boston In Real Life Screenshot Comparison

June 4, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Ever wondered about the different locations and things that Bethesda showed in the Fallout 4 trailer? A native Bostonian has taken the time to share these comparison shots from the trailer and of the real life locations.

Ever wondered about the different locations and things that Bethesda showed in the Fallout 4 trailer? A native Bostonian has taken the time to share these comparison shots from the trailer and of the real life locations. In turn, we have added our own information .

USS Constitution

USS Constitution is a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy, named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America. The ship is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat.

Paul Revere Statue

The Paul Revere statue is one of the most recognizable and photographed landmarks in the city. Sculptor Cyrus Edwin Dallin depicts the Founding Father’s iconic moment, riding on hourse to Concord to warn the revolution of the British advance.

Boston State House

Not to be confused with the Massachusetts State House, the Boston State House, also known as the Old State House, is the city’s oldest surviving building. Today, it serves as a historical library. Bethesda has likely made use of this fact for its appearance in Fallout 4.

Bunker Hill Monument

Finally, the Bunker Hill Monument is a granite obelisk commemorating a major conflict from the American Revolutionary War, the Battle of Bunker Hill. As a historical aside, Bunker Hill was actually adjacent to where most of the combat from this conflict happened, which was Breed’s Hill. The monument itself is located on Breed’s Hill.

Are you a Bostonian, or a history buff? You may have also noticed most of these landmarks are located on the Freedom Trail. This 4 kilometer path passes through 16 historically significant locations on the way to downtown Boston, Massachusetts. The USS Constitution itself is found at the end of this path, in Charlestown.

So, it’s clear Fallout 4 will have some form of allusions to the American Revolutionary War, and the Freedom Trail will be an important location. What aspects of that war would you like to pop up in Fallout 4? How would you like the Freedom Trail to be used? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Fallout 4will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
