September 7, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Bethesda has released the system requirements for id Software’s Rage.

Bethesda has revealed the system requirements for id Software's upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter Rage. Set for an October 4 release in the United States, Rage's system requirements should help you build the perfect computer for it, or at the very least allow you to upgrade your system to the point where you can actually run it.

As the first game to be developed with id Software's id Tech 5 engine, Rage is almost certain to reignite the tech race between id Software, Epic Games and Crytek.

Here are the minimum requirements for the game:

Minimum

  • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
  • Memory: 2GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
  • Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200

If you're feeling adventurous, you'll need the following specs to play the game at reasonably high settings:

Recommended

  • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
  • Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550
