Ni No Kuni Bedazzles with New Trailer

September 5, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

The upcoming RPG from Studio Ghibli is looking better than ever.

A gorgeous new trailer for the Studio Ghibli game Ni No Kuni has surfaced. the RPG is slated for the PlayStation 3 and was originally bound for the Wii.

The game uses the traditional art style as seen in classic Studio Ghibli films like Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, and Kiki's Delivery Service. It seamlessly merges the 3d graphics with an artistic overlay that should give most artsy games a run for their money, and then some.

The gameplay itself looks a lot like Magicka, but with the aforementioned stylistic touch to give it that signature Studio Ghibli look. It plays from an axonometric perspective, giving the player a good overview of the action.
