Fantasy Board Game Armello Comes to PS4 in September

May 26, 2015 by Stephen Daly

The game is described as a cross between Game of Thrones and Kung-Fu Panda.

Turn-based fantasy board game Armello will be released on PlayStation 4 this September, in addition to PC, Mac, and Linux.

The game, currently available on Steam Early Access, is described as "Game of Thrones meets Kung-Fu Panda" by developer League of Geeks' director Trent Kusters, and sees players take on the role of a hero of one of four animal clans intent on ruling the kingdom.

You can guide your character to the throne by killing the current king but other options include amassing more prestige than other players when the king dies of illness or by being killed by someone who also dies in battle; acquiring the four Spirit Stones to heal the land, and by killing the king while in possession of more "rot" than he has during battle.

Armello currently supports four players in Early Access but the final game will offer support for up to eight. The Early Access version of the game is available from Steam and the Humble Store for $24.99.
